Description
From it’s humble beginnings as a “small” beer made for the monks in the Belgian town of Malle, the Patersbier is now a relatively well known type of beer. Although not an official BJCP style, the Patersbier (Father’s Beer” in Dutch) is a lower alcohol Belgian Trappist version of a Dubbel or Tripel, and in fact is also called Enkel, meaning “single” from doing an additional sparge of the bigger beers. If you want a sessionable Belgian ale, this one is for you!
